The
Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (O.F.A.H) and its partners are hosting Canada’s first National Fish and Wildlife Conservation Congress that will be held at the Westin Ottawa, May 27-31, 2012.
Today’s healthy abundance of fish and wildlife populations did not happen by chance. They are the result of ideas and actions taken in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by leading conservationists, many of them hunters and anglers in their own right.

Invading species are one of the greatest threats to the biodiversity of Ontario’s waters, wetlands and woodlands.
Originating from other regions of the world, and in the absence of their natural predators or controls, invading species can have devastating effects on native species, habitats and ecosystems.
Invading Species Awareness Program
The O.F.A.H. Ontario Angler Awards is a province wide program that officially promotes and recognizes recreational angling efforts in Ontario by both resident and non-resident anglers.
This program has been developed to serve as a vehicle to promote sportfishing in Ontario and to encourage the use of the wonderful sustainable resource with a friendly competitive twist. Anglers fishing in Ontario waters may now be recognized for their achievements.
